For our traditional celebration, the theme is orange and white. Guests are warmly invited to embrace these colours — whether through traditional attire or elegant interpretations of the palette.
Our church wedding theme embraces soft, romantic colours. Guests are welcome to wear any elegant tones that reflect this aesthetic. Shades like soft blues, champagne, gold, and warm neutrals are especially welcome — but please feel free to interpret this in your own way.
Your love, prayers, and presence at our wedding are truly the greatest gifts we could ask for.
For those who have asked about gifting, should you wish to bless us further, you are welcome to use any of the options below.

Simeon and I met at my sister's wedding in September 2022. Simeon loves to deny this, but from the moment the ceremony ended and throughout the reception, he was definitely "moving to me". He formally introduced himself with a handshake at the back of the church hall, then somehow kept finding little reasons to come speak to me for the rest of the evening.
Later that night, after the reception, a group of us stayed behind to help clean up. I very generously decided to position myself near him while he was folding tablecloths… just to give him a fair opportunity to continue speaking to me.
The following day, we bumped into each other again at the Oni house after church where we were having Sunday lunch. While washing dishes together (apparently chores were becoming our thing), we really connected and discovered that we practically worked in the same building, which naturally made it much easier to "accidentally" bump into each other more often.
That night, Simeon did what any serious man in 2022 would do… he slid into my Instagram DMs to wish me a good week at work. From then on, we never really stopped talking or falling more in love with each other. Over time, we truly became best friends.
In December 2024, Simeon proposed at the same garden where we had our very first date, and of course, I said yes!
Simeon has been such a source of love, support, and encouragement in my life. What started at my sister's wedding quickly became the most beautiful and unexpected love story, and I thank God that we get to spend forever together.
In September 2022, I still considered myself new in the city of Johannesburg. I had just recently started attending Ife's church and I was surprised when he invited me to his wedding but quite excited. This was just what I needed — an introduction to a new social community, an opportunity to connect with new friends in a city that I was still trying to navigate.
The church service was well-attended and so beautiful. I was surrounded by, and got to chat with, quite a few. I saw the bride's sister and reached out to say hello. I reached out to shake her hand — I guess she found this formality weird. All I remember was that she looked quite stunning. A true beauty!
The reception followed and I found myself drawn to Emily while we were all helping to pack up the hall. I just wanted to talk to her. I was successful in striking up some conversation but I am not sure I had a plan because once she disappeared, I simply joined a conversation involving a group of other potential friends. My goal was to meet people, but she certainly stayed on my mind.
We met again at the Oni family home the next day and got to speaking for real. We had a few things in common including working at the same location. She worked in construction and her company was involved in a project at the hospital to which I was posted. There was a natural comfort and excitement in each other's presence. We continued to talk first as friends for a few months, and then as lovers.
Emily has been one of the greatest joys in my life. Sometimes, it is funny to think how far we've come and how much we've rubbed off on each other. I guess that's the beauty of getting to know someone so well. In the last few years, I have become a lot wiser, more patient, and more responsible thanks to her. I am so thankful to God for bringing us together and He will continue to be our Centre.
A small collection of memories from our journey together.
